After my 'A' levels in January 2007, I decided to go and explore the corporate world and look for some business opportunity. Guess what? I don't like working one bit! Anyone have the same sentiments?

On 15th January 2007, I was offered my first job as a server at some restaurant. I made a lot of friends there. Nonetheless, I disliked, or should I say, I did not have great affections for the managers in that restaurant. With regards to that, I am sure many other employees in the world would identify with me, especially those who are working in the Food and Beverage Industry as servers. Anyways, to cut the long story short, I made a decision there and then that I don't want to be stuck working for other people for the rest of my life! It stinks!!! Trust me.

After I resigned from my first job, I was enticed by another offer another company gave me. Like an ignorant sheep that is being led to the slaughterhouse, I stupidly signed some contract and got stuck for one and a half months. Till now, I still can't grasp why the heck I made the decision to sign that contract! It was horrible! Everyday was the worst day of my life! (At least I felt like that every single day.) I dreaded waking up early in the morning, I dreaded traveling to my workplace and most of all, and I dreaded the fulfilling of my boring job scope. Come to think of it, it was really hilarious because half the time I was dozing off at work, so actually the boss was no better off having me, such an unproductive employee. I had no free time for family, no free time for my friends and no free time for myself. My 'wonderful' schedule from Monday to Friday was: Wake up, go to work, go home, sleep, wake up next morning, go to work, go home sleep and it goes on... ... ... This was not the life I want! In fact, during that one and a half month, I basically had no life.

I really pity my colleagues. They told me they had to sign two-year contracts with the company. Then I realised, I was the lucky one. And when I asked, "How did you all survive man?" They laughed, shrugged their shoulders and said, "What to do? I got a family to feed! No choice!" But there IS a choice and they have chosen it! Would YOU have chosen the same? Furthermore, there ARE lots to do that can totally transform their lives. You see my friends, it's not about WHAT you do that matters, it's about HOW you do it! Those millionaires out there don't start being millionaires. They were once like us!

From these two experiences, I ask myself, "Do I really want this kind of lifestyle? Slogging for the boss Mondays to Fridays for the rest of my life and all I get is a meager sum of income while the boss gets the big money?" The answer I gave myself was a BIG RESOUNDING NO! And mind you, I WILL live to a ripe old age of a hundred-and-twenty. So if I start work after graduating from University, at say, twenty-two years young, that would be slogging for about ninety-eight years? Even if I retire, at say, sixty years young, that will be about thirty-eight years of sweat and blood! Even worse, what happens when I retire? The reality is my income stops and I don't think my CPF or savings could support me another 60 years! Don't my financial future seem bleak? Is there another way? Now, I know some people will ask me, "Why would you want to live so long?" Well, that is my goal! If you want to die young it's YOUR business!

I really want to thank God for my parents! They brought me to an event called National Achiever's Congress 2007. Anybody heard of it before? It's an event held every year where established millionaires are invited to speak. Their massive knowledge astounds me! They inspired me to THINK BIG! And I realised that there is more to making money than just getting a degree and finding a good job. I know this sounds clich?but it is a FACT! My point is, I learnt from the Gurus that there are so many other ways to make money in this society! Soon after, I started a rapid search for business opportunities! And I found the ultimate business opportunity that is so close to me all along in the eighteen years of my life: NETWORK MARKETING. Why do I say it was so close to me? My parents have actually been in this industry (and the same company) for ten years and still counting! In addition to that, they are currently doing it full time now!
